Ƶ Panel Featured in Sundance Festival Prize Winner Promo
On August 11, 2020, the National Society of High School Scholars had the privilege of hosting an exclusive pre-screening of the Apple TV, A24 documentary “Boys State”. The screening was followed by a featuring two subjects from the film, the filmmakers, and moderated by Ƶ Fellows Executive Board Member Kolby Keo. This online event was attended by almost 500 members of the Ƶ community.
“Boys State” follows a week-long annual program in which a thousand Texas high school seniors gather for an elaborate mock exercise: building their own state government. The film holds up a mirror to the American democracy, stressing the importance of participating as citizens, and offering unmistakable hope. View the trailer featuring the Ƶ panel .
